VISUALISING VOTOR

THE VOICE OF THE ONE REPUBLIC

WHAT AND WHO

The Voice of The One Republic (VOTOR) is an entity created by Republic to guide Citizens and Aberrants in their daily life. VOTOR is an integral part of life in the Aberrant Rehabilitation Centre. Often times, she is called upon to reprimand the Aberrants. It is suggested that VOTOR's voice is based on a female who lived some decades earlier. This woman had acted terribly towards TOR's founding father. Legend has it that Master Masters used her voice upon her untimely death.

PROCESS

Over the next few months we are going to introduce our followers to the world of Rise! by sharing imagery, videos, graphics, design ideas and pieces of story that we are currently working on. One of the first pieces of art we worked on was the visualisation of the Voice of The One Republic, or VOTOR. Previs artist Juraj Zuban worked on the design, look and feel based on a brief from director, Fay Beck. The process of arriving at the final look was lengthy and involved many iterations

We took the creation of the 30sec clip, as an opportunity to test some of our computer graphic ideas.

We tested colour, elements, motion and mood.
